Testing Connection & Site Access Problems

Hello BT Family,

This post is to provide you with some self help understanding if you find that accessing the BT Funding website posts or challenges are giving you problems.

After several studies into what could be the problem, it has been determined that most of it is internet service provider (ISP) related.

To find our your connection status at any time, I have provided two links below to test your connection reliability and download/upload speeds.

You can use these tools at any time you wish. They are free to use and are very effective for finding out your connection issues.

I recommend you bookmark these links so that if you are unable to access this page to get them later, you will already have them stored on your PC or phone browser.

The Connection Tester
  1. Click ==> http://startrinity.com/InternetQuality/InternetConnectionMonitor.aspx
  2. On their website click the “Start Test” button
  3. Let the test run for 5 minutes
  4. After 5 minutes, click the “Stop Test” button
  5. View your results and send screenshot to me, if desired

NOTE: If you see any outage times and/or downtime reported on your test results, it is determined that your connection with your ISP is not staying online continuously and would likely be why you are having problems to access my website or entering a password where required. It could also result in the ability to complete a challenge or test/quiz round to submit.

SITE NOTE: The tester site says that sometimes your downtime reported by the tester could be that your browser is hanging. To get a possible better test result, you can try closing all other tabs on your browser and run the test again using only a single tab open to see if the result is any better. This could also contribute to the lack of consistency when trying to access my website or the challenges/quizzes pages.

HARDWARE NOTE: If you see any outage or downtime results, your network adapter could have defects in it. The only way you can test this is to use a different connection source first  and run the test again on that source to see if your results change. If no change, then verify once more using another phone/computer and run the test again to confirm you are still getting the same results or not.

The Data Download/Upload Tester
  1. Click ==> http://startrinity.com/InternetQuality/ContinuousBandwidthTester.aspx
  2. Scroll down to the section “Run The Test In Browser”
  3. Click the “Start Test” button
  4. Let the test run for 2 minutes
  5. After 2 minutes, click the “Stop Test” button
  6. View your results and send screenshot to me, if desired

NOTE: If you see a lot of your average bandwidth speed status is in red or orange, it means you have a poor connection for data transmittal and would cause you to either not be able to load pages properly or submit secure data info like passwords or login credentials. This would also be the case if you were to try to sign up or register for an account on another website other than the BT Funding’s website.
